Ethiopian Airlines postpones launch of Addis-Istanbul flights

An unexpected delay puts a pause on the debut flights.

Ethiopian Airlines has postponed the launch of its new service between Addis Ababa and Istanbul.

Original scheduled to commence on December 5, the operations have been postponed to March 4. The carrier says this is due to the delay in the issuance of an operating permit and landing slots by the Turkish Aviation Authorities, although the airline has duly finalised all operations to commence the flights.

Ethiopian Airlines regrets the unexpected delay, and apologises to its passengers.
