Ex-1time employees object to founding members’ new airline

Ex-1time employees will today (December 5) march to the Department of Transport to object to the grant of an application for an air operating licence by the founding members of the airline to operate a new low-cost carrier.

A letter from the former employees said that the misconduct of the previous founders of 1time Airline, Glenn Orsmond, Rodney James and Michael Kaminski, could not be rewarded with a licence to operator another airline, as it would just be an opportunity to ruin another listed company.

“This, in turn, will put more employees at risk as well as the tens of thousands of people who would invest in their company as it would be listed on the stock exchange,” the letter read.

“We request that the parties that founded 1time Airline not be granted a licence as they have failed dismally to successfully run 1time Airline and have displayed a blatant disregard for the public who trusted in their product, as well as the employees who were all very heavily invested in the airline.”

The employees further stated that they firmly believed that granting these individuals a licence would not be in the public interest, as their questionable business ethics and lack of credibility had been made abundantly clear, as with the governance of 1time Airline.
