Hyatt to debut first branded property in Zambia

Hyatt has announced plans to bring its Hyatt Regency brand to Zambia with the signing of Hyatt Regency Lusaka The Pamodzi.

Currently operating as The Pamodzi Hotel, the five-star property will undergo an extensive refurbishment while remaining open and is expected to reopen under the Hyatt Regency brand in 2026. The project marks Hyatt’s first branded property in Zambia, expanding the company’s footprint in Africa.

Located in the Zambian capital, Hyatt Regency Lusaka The Pamodzi will feature 170 guest rooms and suites along with meeting and event spaces catering to large-scale conferences and smaller gatherings.

The hotel’s location offers convenient access to the Lusaka National Museum, key business districts and tourist attractions. Wildlife experiences such as Lusaka National Park and the Elephant Orphanage Project (Game Rangers International) are located about 30 minutes away.
