Jenman African Safaris to launch ‘Grand Zimbabwe’ in 2020

Jenman African Safaris will be launching a new safari tour of Zimbabwe, starting in 2020.

The ‘Grand Zimbabwe’ is a small-group lodge safari tour which takes place over 13 days. The tour visits destinations such as Victoria Falls; two national parks, Hwange and Matobo; Lake Kariba and the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, and ends in Harare.

Accommodation is situated in national parks, on the banks of a river and in other places of interest. The accommodation will comprise a mix of lodges, chalets and tented camps.

  • Day 1 and 2: Ilala Lodge
  • Day 3 and 4: Masumu River Lodge
  • Day 5 and 6: Nantwich
  • Day 7 and 8: Sable Sands
  • Day 9 and 10: Camp Amalinda
  • Day 11: Lodge at the Ancient City
  • Day 12: Bushman Rock Estate

The trip includes accommodation, transport, game drives and other activities, as well as experienced local guides and airport transfers on the arrival and departure of the tour.

Guests wanting to extend their holiday can sign up for the Mana Pools Magic Safari, which adds an extra three nights spent at the Mana Pools National Park.

Day 13: Mana Pools
Guests will board their charter flight from Harare to Mana Pools, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where they will stay at the Kanga Camp.

Day 14 and 15: Mana Pools
Guests can fill their days with wildlife-focused activities such as guided safari walks and open-vehicle game drives.

Day 16: Harare
After breakfast, guests will be transferred to the airport for their onward flight.
