SAA’s inauguration of a daily flight to the capital of the United Arab Emirates is especially significant because Etihad is working closely with SAA to make Abu Dhabi (AUH) central to SAA’s future services.
Here is a complete list of cities from which Johannesburg-bound passengers can now fly on an SAA ticket irrespective of whether some or all of the flights are operated by SAA or Etihad. More will be announced shortly.
Below this list is the new timetable for flights between AUH and Johannesburg. The two airlines have co-ordinated their flights to optimise the best possible transit time. There is one flight in the morning and another in the evening.
Etihad is waiting regulatory approval to codeshare with SAA to 17 of SAA’s destinations in Africa.
Abu Dhabi to Johannesburg
Etihad Airways and SAA’s Abu Dhabi – Johannesburg schedule, effective March 29. Flights are being temporarily advanced an hour to compensate for extra flying time to circumvent war-torn Yemen.
