Little Ongava has reopened as Horizon by Ongava following renovations. The camp, located in the Ongava Private Game Reserve in Namibia, features three private villas.
The lodge’s main area has been redesigned to accommodate guest bathrooms and a dedicated concierge office. The former guest bathroom area has been converted into a waiter station with espresso facilities. The front deck has been lowered and extended to include a full-shade roof and new steel substructures.
The villas have undergone a complete refresh with redesigned bathrooms, reshaped external decks, air conditioning and roofs rethatched and resealed. New flooring, furnishings, fittings and finishes have also been installed. Lounge areas now include a triple couch that converts into a third bed.
Infrastructure developments across the reserve include upgrades to staff accommodation, integration of renewable energy systems and the introduction of responsible waste management practices.
Ongava plans to offer complimentary wellness treatments for guests from 2027.
