Wilderness Safaris has launched a new guest-focused website that has been designed to cater for the changing needs of its digital audience.
“While we have traditionally largely catered for our travel industry partners with our website, this new generation online presence is all about their clients, our guests. We believe it will help popularise the concept of an African safari but also a more holistic and meaningful African experience that caters for the heart of what ecotourism as a mechanism for biodiversity conservation and community empowerment is all about,” said Chris Roche of Wilderness Safaris.
The company says its core business strategy to refer all direct travel enquiries back to its trade partners has not changed. The site will serve as an information portal for travellers, assisting them in gaining as much information as possible so that once they contact a travel agent they already have a good idea of what they’re looking for.
The website includes digital maps, seasonality charts and trip-planning tools, and integrates the company’s social media platforms into a ‘news centre’ featuring company news, opinion pieces, newsletters and guest photo albums.
