New lodge opens in Kenya’s Masai Mara

One of Kenya’s newest lodges, the Nyota Mara Lodge, situated on the banks of the Mara River.

Nyota Mara Lodge, situated in Masai Mara, Kenya, has opened its doors.

Accommodation comprises six semi-luxury tents that can accommodate up to four guests, fitted with a private terrace, king-size bed, bath and shower, and two types of unusual housing – the Bubble Tent and the Masai Boma.

The Bubble Tent, which sleeps two, is ideal for a night under the stars, looking out over the Mara River, boasting a private terrace, king-size bed, bath and shower, with the option of sleeping indoors.

The Masai Boma, a live-in traditional hut which sleeps two, affords guests the opportunity to have an authentic African experience.

Guests have the option of booking a private 4x4 Land Cruiser for safaris. Nyota Mara Lodge offers a one-hour bush walk, game drives and night drives, accompanied by a game ranger to ensure guests’ safety.

The bar keeps the lodge’s African feel, and the terrace overlooks a hippo pool.

The restaurant uses only fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and opens out on to the savannah.

The lodge’s décor has been inspired by Africa’s savannah.
