The construction of a new terminal at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi is expected to boost capacity.
The Greenfield Terminal will be able to handle up to 20 million passengers annually when completed, according to a report by Standard Digital News.
Kepha Bosire, Corporate Communications Head at Kenya Airways, said while there was no clear time frame for the project, the airline estimated that construction could start within the next two to three years.
According to Bosire, the new terminal will allow the airport to handle more passengers, provide added facilities for comfort and convenience and ensure more efficient handling of passengers and baggage.
