New chef for Capital Mbombela
Chef Keegan Maistry has joined The Capital Hotels, Apartments and Resorts Mbombela property in Mpumalanga.
During a career spanning nearly a decade, Maistry has tackled a wide range of culinary challenges from catering for the royal wedding of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco to introducing Manchester United Football Club to its first traditional South African braai.
He joins The Capital after leading kitchens at four of Johannesburg’s best-known hotels: Radisson Blu, Sandton Sun, City Lodge Hotel and Radisson RED Rosebank.
Premier appoints Group Sales Manager
Premier Hotels & Resorts has appointed Conrad Poole as its new Group Sales Manager. Poole is an experienced hotelier and sales professional with more than 10 years’ experience in South Africa’s hospitality industry. Most recently, he worked at Pullman Cape Town and Hyatt Regency Cape Town.
Deboeck takes the reins at Anantara Bazaruto
Helga Deboeck has been appointed General Manager of Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort, which is part of the Minor Hotels portfolio.
Deboeck has more than 15 years of international leadership experience across luxury hotels and resorts in Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Africa – most recently in Greece at Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection.
