New GM for Fire & Ice Durban
Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Durban Umhlanga Ridge has appointed Thuthukile Moloto as the new General Manager.
Moloto joined the Protea Hotels group in 2007 as an Accelerate In-Service graduate and was previously GM of Protea Hotel by Marriott Karridene Beach in Durban.
Ivory Coast tourism gets new Director General
Dr Germain Aphing Kouassi has been appointed new Director General of Côte d’Ivoire Tourisme, effective at the end of this month.
Dr Aphing Kouassi has spent several years as the Director of Cabinet at the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure and been in different positions within the Ministry.

CTICC appoints new CEO
Taubie Motlhabane will be the new CEO of the Cape Town International Convention Centre, effective January 31.
Prior to this appointment, she was Executive Director at the Tshwane Convention & Visitors Bureau for four years. Motlhabane was also Head of the Events Division for the City of Ekurhuleni and Trade Relations Manager for Business Tourism at South African Tourism.
