BlackBrick Hotels appoints new Regional General Manager
BlackBrick Hotels has appointed Logan Naidoo as Regional General Manager. His first major task will be overseeing the launch of BlackBrick Gardens in Cape Town, scheduled to open in October 2025.
Naidoo has over 20 years of hospitality experience in South Africa and abroad. He has completed courses in hotel revenue management and leadership development. He was with The Capital Hotel Group for nine years, managing the opening and operations of several properties in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.

The Oyster Box appoints new General Manager
Philisiwe Gumede has been appointed General Manager of The Oyster Box, part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection. She is the first female and first black African to lead the property.
Her career includes international experience in Dubai, the US and UK. Gumede said she believes in “leading from the front, in nurturing talent and in making every guest feel truly seen”.
Jungle Dwellers appoints new sales and marketing rep
East African tour operator Jungle Dwellers has appointed The Perfections Group to provide sales, marketing and representation in the UK.
The Perfections Group will promote Jungle Dwellers in the UK leisure and corporate agency networks, organise trade events and facilitate roadshows and fam trips.
“The UK is our single most important long-haul market,” said Boniface Waweru Karanja, Founder and CEO of Jungle Dwellers. “Partnering with The Perfections Group gives us the local market intelligence and relationships we need to turn that demand into bookings.”
Lifetree Marketing & Media grows portfolio
Since August 8, Lifetree Marketing & Media, based in Cape Town, has taken over reservations, sales and marketing for Hatari Lodge, Shu'mata Camp and Wondergarden in Tanzania.
The company’s team, led by Saskia Brown, has experience in leading roles at several African hotels and game reserves.
