BON Hotels has promoted Gawie de la Guerre to Group Financial Director. He will oversee the financial management function of the group and ensure compliance with all appropriate company policies and tax statutory requirements. De la Guerre will be in charge of cash flow management. He has a Bachelor of Commerce, specialising in financial management and has extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
BON Hotels has also recently appointed Lindi Mthethwa as Group Sales Director. She will oversee market growth, market penetration and development of the brand. Mthethwa brings with her the top level sales management experience that has seen her rapid growth in the hospitality industry.
Thompsons Africa has appointed Renier Friis as General Manager – Procurement and Product Development. Friis will oversee all procurement, proposals and product development. He brings with him ten years of experience in this field and a strong knowledge of the Southern African industry. Thompsons Africa Chief Executive Officer, Alessandra Allemann says: “We are excited to have Friis join the Thompsons Africa family and know that he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and fresh, innovative ideas.”
