People on the move: Limpopo Tourism Agency appoints new CEO

The Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) has appointed Nomasonto Ndlovu as CEO.

LTA has been operating without a CEO since the departure of Ndumiso Matlala in April.

Ndlovu’s role and functions will be central in assisting the Board to fulfil its mandate of marketing the province as a destination of choice.

Ndlovu has  gained experience from the private and public sector, having worked as the Strategic Executive Director: Communications, Marketing and Events for the City of Tshwane; Global Manager: Business Tourism for South African Tourism; Head: Brand Marketing, Sponsorship and Events for Standard Bank of South Africa (Corporate and Investment Banking Division); GM: Marketing for KwaZulu Natal Tourism Authority and Marketing Manager for Knorr Brand and various brand management positions for Unilever South Africa.

She holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the University of KwaZulu Natal.

Tim Cordon will replace Mark Willis as Carson Rezidor Hotel Group’s area senior VP for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa regions. Cordon has been with Carlson Rezidor since 2003 and began his career in the UK in leadership positions at Carlson Rezidor’s hotels in London and Manchester.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, and Technology from Nottingham Trent University.

Golden Horse Casino has appointed Nkosikhona Manqele as new Executive Chef.

Manqele studied at the International Hotel School and has since acquired 13 years of experience in culinary industry.
