Springbok Atlas Tours and Safaris has appointed a General Manager for India, Lionel Vas, as well as Nupur Mukherjee as a Project Manager.
The two new appointees will join the division that focuses on growing the Indian inbound market to Southern Africa.
Vas was appointed General Manager: Sales, India, on December 1 last year, and is based in India. He brings extensive knowledge of Southern Africa, having joined the travel industry in 2006.
Mukherjee joined the Cape Town office India division in December. She was born and raised in India and has worked in the Indian travel industry in Cape Town since 2012.
Fortis Hotels has appointed Juanita Cronje as the new Finance Director.
Cronje will help with the direction and strategic planning of the hotel group.
She has 20 years’ experience in the financial management of hotel operations, having entered the hospitality industry at Protea Hotel Victoria Junction. Cronje has held positions at the Protea Hotel Franschhoek and Protea Hotel North Wharf.
Tronette Dippenaar was recently appointed the Marine Hotel’s head Chef and will oversee the hotel group’s Origins Restaurant.
She started her career at the Agulhas Country Lodge and has since worked at various local hotels, including The Cellars-Hohenort, The Lord Milner Hotel and The Plettenberg Hotel.
