Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (Satsa) kicked off its research on animal interactions late last year, and is now ready to present the initial findings and commence public consultation.
The association is inviting members of the tourism industry to join the consultative workshops and Satsa/South African Youth Travel Confederation (SAYTC) chapter meetings that follow immediately after the workshops in respective areas. The invitation is open to everyone in the industry, regardless of Satsa membership.
The consultative workshops on animal interactions and chapter meetings are as follows:
- Mpumalanga: February 12, chapter meeting and animal interaction workshop in Nelspruit from 10h00 to 17h00. Venue to be confirmed.
- Limpopo: February 13, chapter meeting and animal interaction workshop in Hoedspruit from 10h00 to 17h00. Venue to be confirmed.
- KwaZulu Natal: February 14, chapter meeting and animal interaction workshop in Durban at the Oyster Box Hotel from 10h00 to 17h00.
- Gauteng: February 22, chapter meeting and animal interaction workshop in Pretoria or Johannesburg from 10h00 to 17h00. Venue to be confirmed.
- Eastern Cape: February 25, chapter meeting in Morgans Bay at the Yellowwood Forest from 12h00 to 17h00; February 26; animal interaction workshop in East London from 10h00 to 15h00. Venue to be confirmed.
- Western Cape: Early March chapter meeting and animal interaction workshop in Cape Town from 10h00 to 17h00. Date and venue to be confirmed.
- Free State: March 7, chapter meeting and animal interaction workshop in Bloemfontein from 10h00 to 17h00. Venue to be confirmed.
- North West: March 8, chapter meeting and animal interaction workshop in Hartbeespoort from 10h00 to 17h00. Venue to be confirmed.
- Garden Route: March 19, chapter meeting and animal interaction workshop in George from 10h00 to 17h00. Venue to be confirmed.
