Stellenbosch American Express Wine Routes and Stellenbosch 360 have introduced bi-weekly street soirées in the Western Cape town until the end of March.
Each soirée features a different selection of cellars and caterers and entrance is free. The wine and food rendezvous take place from 17h00 till 19h30. Guests pay a R20 deposit and get a wine glass and a ticket that allows them to taste as many wines as they like on the evening.
“The layout and lifestyle of our quaint town really lend themselves to street festivities and these gatherings allow visitors to bask in the wonderful winelands atmosphere and become part of the Stellenbosch way of life,” said Elmarie Rabe, events co-ordinator of the wine route.
