EAST London Airport will undergo an upgrade over the next 18 months. The R120m upgrade will increase the terminal area, add more food and beverage facilities and extend the aircraft parking. There will be an additional 2 300 sqm of floor space, bigger luggage carousels, an extended passenger holding lounge, 17 extra check-in counters and a new air traffic control tower.
