Young elephants rescued in Zim

Saving lives, one elephant at a time.

A team of collaborators came together last week to move six young elephants to Panda Masuie Forest near Victoria Falls.

Wild is Life Trust and Zimbabwe Elephant Nursery (ZEN), together with partner International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), teamed up with collaborators and donors, Elephants, Rhinos and People (ERP), The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, and the entire family and staff of ZEN and Wild is Life, to move the elephants.

The young elephants, which had been traumatised, will be reintegrated into the wild, following a period of rehabilitation and re-wilding.
