Partner companies, Air Madagascar and Air Austral are strengthening ties, with a new flight between South Malagasy (Madagascar) and Réunion Island, starting in December.
On December 3, the two airlines will launch the first jointly operated route, Fort-Dauphin (Madagascar)-Toliara-Saint-Denis (Réunion).
The route will be operated twice a week, with an Air Austral Boeing 737-800 deployed on the Monday service and an Air Madagascar Boeing 737-800 on the Friday flight.
Sales will go live on September 24.
The Monday flight schedule (in codeshare with Air Madagascar) is as follows:
- 09h15 Saint-Denis – arrive 10h00 Fort Dauphin and depart 11h00 – arrive 11h45 Toliara and depart 12h45 – arrive 15h45 Saint-Denis.
Friday flight schedule (in codeshare with Air Austral) is as follows:
- 09h05 Toliara – arrive at 09h50 Fort Dauphin and depart 10h50 – arrive at 13h25 Saint-Denis and depart 14h25 – arrive at 15h10 Fort Dauphin and depart 16h10 – arrive 16h55 Toliara.
