Air Madagascar and Air Austral launch flights to Réunion

Air Madagascar and Air Austral strengthen ties with the launch of new flights between South Malagasy and Réunion Island.

Partner companies, Air Madagascar and Air Austral are strengthening ties, with a new flight between South Malagasy (Madagascar) and Réunion Island, starting in December.

On December 3, the two airlines will launch the first jointly operated route, Fort-Dauphin (Madagascar)-Toliara-Saint-Denis (Réunion).

The route will be operated twice a week, with an Air Austral Boeing 737-800 deployed on the Monday service and an Air Madagascar Boeing 737-800 on the Friday flight.

Sales will go live on September 24.

The Monday flight schedule (in codeshare with Air Madagascar) is as follows:

  • 09h15 Saint-Denis – arrive 10h00 Fort Dauphin and depart 11h00 – arrive 11h45 Toliara and depart 12h45 – arrive 15h45 Saint-Denis.

Friday flight schedule (in codeshare with Air Austral) is as follows:

  •  09h05 Toliara – arrive at 09h50 Fort Dauphin and depart 10h50 – arrive at 13h25 Saint-Denis and depart 14h25 – arrive at 15h10 Fort Dauphin and depart 16h10 – arrive 16h55 Toliara.
