Cathay Pacific will launch a direct service between its hub in Hong Kong and Cape Town later this year, according to Times Live.
The year-round service will provide Cape Town with its first non-stop flights to Asia in more than six years.
The flights are expected to take about 14 hours. Singapore Airlines – the only Asian airline serving Cape Town at present – has a 13 hour and 55 minute flight via Johannesburg.
