The results of our latest poll indicate that, despite South Africa’s rich cultural diversity, cultural tourism is under-represented in the country’s overall tourism landscape.
Asked whether cultural tourism offerings were properly integrated into itineraries, 54% of poll respondents said ‘no’, while 28% said ‘yes’. The remaining respondents were ‘unsure’.
South Africa’s Tourism Sector Masterplan has been approved by Cabinet and gazetted. The Masterplan contains seven strategic interventions identified to bolster the tourism sector. We want to know whether you believe that these interventions will be effective in helping South Africa to reach its ambitious target of 21 million tourists by 2035.
