Emirates introduced a tablet loan service on US-bound flights from April 5.
First- and business-class passengers can borrow Microsoft Surface tablets equipped with Microsoft Office 2016 from the airline. Passengers will be able to download their work to a USB that can be brought on board and plugged into the devices, allowing them to continue working during their flight.
The service is free of charge and will be available on all non-stop flights from Dubai to Emirates’ US destinations.
The new service is in response to an electronic travel ban on flights to and from the US and UK, which came into effect at the end of last month.
