Former aha Hotels & Lodges executives Graeme Edmond and James Robb have launched a new hospitality group, Nightjar Collection.
Both Edmond and Robb previously held senior roles at aha. Edmond rose through the ranks to lead the group as CEO, managing a multi-country portfolio and a team of over 1 200 staff. Robb, one of aha’s original staff members, spent eight years with the company and served as Chief Sales and Marketing Executive.
The new venture positions itself as a premier safari lodge management company modelled on three pillars: “exceptional guest experiences, conservation of natural heritage and community empowerment”.
“We have long championed conservation-first tourism and community-owned models – a philosophy that now anchors Nightjar’s vision as we grow this new business,” says Edmond, CEO of Nightjar Collection.
“Our goal is to rethink traditional lodge management by combining innovation in sales, marketing and revenue with a hands-on, people-first approach,” says Robb, Chief Marketing, Sales and Revenue Officer for Nightjar Collection.
Nightjar Collection manages a growing portfolio that includes Xidulu Private Game Lodge in the Makalali Private Game Reserve, Tsholo Safari Lodge in the Black Rhino Reserve within Pilanesberg National Park and, most recently, Buffalo Ridge Safari Lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve.
