Giraffe Manor, owned by The Safari Collection and located in Nairobi, has recently completed upgrades to its boutique hotel, with further refurbishments to come.
Soft interior refurbishments were done, with the majority of rooms being repainted. New linen and artwork were installed in the rooms, with decorative touches completing the refurb. No structural changes have been made.
“Upgrades are continuing and more minor interior changes are scheduled to be made in early 2019,” says manager of the Manor, Mary Morrison.
Giraffe Manor is set within 12 acres of private land inside 140 acres of indigenous forest. It is one of Nairobi’s most iconic buildings, dating back to the 1930s. It has a unique and intriguing appeal and is home to a herd of resident Rothschild’s giraffes, who often visit the Manor in the mornings or evenings, sometimes popping their heads through windows, before retreating to their sanctuary.
12 luxury en-suite rooms can accommodate up to 29 guests, with one suite suitable for wheelchair access. Children are welcome and a range of activities is available.
