Kruger Gate Hotel undergoes soft refurb

Kruger Gate Hotel in Mpumalanga is undergoing a soft refurbishment of 96 of its 145 rooms. The project, set for completion by March 2026, includes fresh paint, new furniture and contemporary design details.

The refurbishment is being carried out in phases – allowing the hotel to remain fully operational without guest relocations. All communal areas and facilities will continue to operate as normal with minimal disruption to guests.

According to Miguel Farinha, Hotel Manager of Kruger Gate Hotel, the updates are in response to changing travel trends, particularly the rise in longer guest stays. “The Kruger National Park offers so much and a longer stay allows for a more immersive travel experience. With guests staying longer, it becomes even more crucial that the property offers a guest experience on par with the best in the world.”
