A new on-site K9 camp has opened at Mdluli Safari Lodge, located within the Kruger National Park, as part of its expanding anti-poaching strategy. The facility, launched on International Earth Day (April 22), is managed by Genesis K9 Group and forms part of the ongoing efforts by the Mdluli Conservation & Anti-Poaching NPC.
The K9 team will support 24/7 anti-poaching operations across the reserve’s 1 800 hectares, adding capacity to a programme that has seen four arrests, over 2 800 snares removed, more than 142 alien plant species eradicated and the training of over 40 rangers to date.

With the addition of trained tactical canines on site, patrol teams are expected to improve detection capabilities and response times.
The development was made possible through partnerships with SANParks, Kruger National Park, Davide Bomben (Director of Il Diamante Collection), Fondazione LAC, Beauval Nature, Gest’In, So Simple and Cafe Rider.
