The results are in and smelly passengers have been ranked the top most annoying type of airline passenger.
In a survey conducted by AirlineRatings.com it was established that fellow passengers are most exasperated by smelly passengers, followed by out of control children and last year’s number one, the perpetual seat recliner, in third place.
According to the survey: “With online or cell phone check-in now widespread, offending passengers are slipping through the traditional checks and only come into contact with airline agents at the boarding gate. The agents, under pressure to get the flight away, let offenders slip through.”
The top ten worst types of airline passengers are:
- Smelly people
- Unruly children
- Perpetual seat recliners
- Arm rest thieves
- Too much carry-on baggage
- Passengers with weak bladders
- Chatterboxes
- Passengers doing exercise in the aisles
- Demanding passengers
- Window hoggers who adjust the window blind constantly.
