New lodge to open near Victoria Falls

Old Drift Lodge, located at Vic Falls will open in April.

Wild Horizons will open a new luxury tented lodge, Old Drift Lodge, in April.

Shane White, Wild Horizons Chief Marketing Officer, told Tourism Update the lodge would have 10 twin/double suites and four family suites. “The spacious canvas suites all have a private lounge, indoor and outdoor showers, plunge pool and an outdoor bath overlooking the Zambezi River.”

The lodge offers family-friendly accommodation, with each air-conditioned suite decorated with stylish furnishings – fitting of a bygone era – that blend in seamlessly with the natural environment.

The main lodge area has 360-degree views, to the north facing the Zambezi and south to a water hole.

Old Drift Lodge is in the Zambezi National Park, 15 minutes from the Victoria Falls. Activities include game drives, river and walking safaris, visits to the Victoria Falls and lunch at The Lookout Café at the Falls.

Wild Horizons will now operate three lodges in the Victoria Falls area – The Elephant Camp, Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge and the new Old Drift Lodge.
