Imvelo Safari Lodges recently introduced new pop-up spa treatments for guests at its two properties near Victoria Falls – Gorges Lodge and Zambezi Sands River Camp – as well as at Camelthorn Lodge in Hwange.
The new spa treatments are in line with Imvelo’s ethos of enriching and empowering local communities by providing jobs in tourism. The beauty therapists were hand-picked from the surrounding community areas, and were trained locally to provide authentic Zimbabwean treatments set amongst some of Zimbabwe’s scenic spots.
Spa treatments at Camelthorn are available at guests’ private villas on the maisonette level, overlooking the acacia woodlands, or a destination treatment can be arranged in the Camelthorn concession, close to the lodge.
At Zambezi Sands, spa treatments are available on guests’ private decks overlooking the river, or a destination spa treatment can be arranged on a sand bank on the Zambezi River.
Spa treatments at Gorges Lodge are available on guests’ private deck overlooking the gorge, or by request at various viewpoints along the edge of the gorge.
