New scheduled flights to Mkambati

GweGwe Beach Lodge has confirmed the launch of scheduled seat-in-aircraft flights between Durban and Mkambati Nature Reserve on the Eastern Cape’s Wild Coast, effective August 1. The service will operate twice weekly, departing every Friday and Monday from Virginia Airport in Durban.

Using a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron aircraft with capacity for four passengers, the flight time will be approximately 50 minutes.

Departures are scheduled for 13h30 from Virginia Airport. Return flights will arrive back at Virginia Airport at 15h45. Virginia Airport is a 25-minute transfer from King Shaka International Airport. The aircraft will land at Mkambati Airfield, located five minutes from the lodge.

For group bookings of four passengers, flights can be scheduled on any day of the week.

Alternative access to GweGwe Beach Lodge remains available via charter flight, helicopter, boat or self-drive.
