Africa’s Eden appoints Community and Conservation Lead

Africa’s Eden has appointed Melissa Foley as Community and Conservation Lead, effective August 20.
Her role will strengthen the organisation’s sustainability and responsible tourism focus across its eight member countries: Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique and Madagascar.
Foley will lead the mapping and integration of community and conservation projects across all member countries, launch the Africa’s Eden Impact Forum and represent members at regional policy discussions.
She brings decades of experience across NGOs, tourism boards, private enterprises, international institutions and grassroots initiatives.
Fancourt appoints new MD

Nick Solomon has been appointed MD of Fancourt.
With extensive leadership experience in the hospitality industry, Solomon will oversee operations at the Garden Route property.
New Chairperson of Women in Tourism: Western Cape

Noli Mini, Founder of Relax Spas and former SATSA Tourism Incubator participant, has been elected Chairperson of Women in Tourism: Western Cape.
Her appointment was announced during Women’s Month in August and ahead of Tourism Month in September.
