Fancourt has appointed Michelle van der Westhuizen as its new Marketing Manager.
Van der Westhuizen has been in the hospitality industry for 21 years and has worked in five-star organisations for 14 years.
Golden Horse Southern Sun Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal recently appointed Leann Murugan as its new General Manager.
Murugan will be responsible for maintaining standards of customer service, relationship building, as well as people management.
Charles Hayward has been appointed Executive Chef of Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Wellness Retreat in the Cederberg, Western Cape.
Hayward has nearly 20 years’ experience working in hospitality at several high-profile hotels and restaurants in South Africa, Dubai and England.
He started his career as a Junior Chef at the Regent Hotel in East London and trained at Warwick’s Chef School in Hermanus. He left South Africa shortly afterwards and headed to London where he worked at two Red Carnation Hotels, The Rubens at the Palace and ‘41’ Boutique Hotel. He also worked at Canary Wharf’s Plateau Restaurant.
On his return, he worked as Executive Chef at La Residence in Franschhoek, and opened Henry White’s Restaurant at Fancourt in George, Western Cape.

Sandton Sun has appointed Gerard Vingerling as new Executive Chef.
Vingerling qualified at Wits Hotel School in 1994, and has worked at hotels including 54 on Bath and most recently, The Palazzo at Montecasino.
He is now Complex Executive Chef for three of the four Tsogo Sun Sandton Mile properties: Sandton Sun, InterContinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers and Sandton Convention Centre.
