Roberta J Gumede has been appointed Non-Executive Alternate Director to Robert Gumede on the board of Tourvest Holdings (Pty) Ltd, underlying the group’s commitment to conform to the new Tourism Black Economic Empowerment Charter.
Gumede is the Chief of Staff and an Executive Director at the Guma Group of Companies, responsible for the office of Guma’s Executive Chair and working alongside its board on M&A opportunities, strategy development, international marketing and brand development.
Further appointments include Ramani Naidoo and Sindi Zilwa, who have both been appointed Non-Executive Directors to the board of Tourvest Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
Wildlife Ranching South Africa (WRSA) has appointed Tebogo Mogashoa as its new President. The appointment was made during WRSA’s AGM, held at the Protea Hotel Ranch Resort in Polokwane on March 24.
Mogashoa will be responsible for ensuring sustainability of the wildlife industry by formulating a strategic approach in consultation with the South African government and various stakeholders.
Crowne Plaza Johannesburg in Rosebank has appointed Kenneth Ngubane as Executive Chef.
Ngubane brings over 27 years of culinary experience from across the globe. He has held positions with leading hospitality brands and has been part of the Tsogo Sun team since 2007, having served as the Executive Chef at Tsogo Sun’s Montecasino Hotel.
Ngubane will oversee the hotel’s eight 24-hour food & beverage offerings.
