People on the move: Wilderness Holdings appoints new Group Sustainability Manager

Dr Neil Midlane has been appointed new Group Sustainability Manager for Wilderness Holdings, effective April 1.

Midlane’s appointment reflects Wilderness Holdings’ ongoing vision to conserve and restore Africa’s wilderness and wildlife through high-end eco-tourism.

Derek de la Harpe, Wilderness Chief Sustainability Officer, says: “As a veteran of the ecotourism industry, an academic and an accomplished field conservationist, we welcome Neil back into the Wilderness fold. With a PhD in lion conservation and in-depth knowledge of biodiversity conservation as a whole, combined with his background as a Chartered Accountant, we are confident that he will be an excellent addition to our Sustainability Team.”

Tawanda Munengiwa has been appointed Managing Director for Tanzania by TAASA Lodge, effective April 3.

Munengiwa will oversee all departmental operations and lodge services for TAASA Lodge. Munengiwa has 24 years of experience in the industry throughout Africa, and joins TAASA as a 12-year General Manager from &Beyond’s Klein’s Camp.
