Poll Results: Still no proper reopening for tourism

Our poll last week asked if tourism in South Africa really was reopening if inter-provincial travel was still not allowed under Advanced Level 3 lockdown.

The results were as follows:

  • Absolutely not. For the industry to start proper recovery, inter-provincial travel is essential.

  • Yes, there are attractions in each province that could appeal to the domestic market.

  • Maybe, but it limits real growth, and thus recovery.

This week we want to know if tourism suppliers can rebuild while provincial (and international) borders remain closed, although intra-provincial leisure travel is allowed under Advanced Level 3.
