Renegade Air launched its new Nairobi-Kisumu scheduled flight service on July 2. The service uses the airline’s new ATR 42-500 aircraft, which carries 48 passengers.
It operates twice daily with the morning flight departing from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport at 07h00 and arriving at Kisumu International Airport at 07h45. The morning return flight departs from Kisumu at 08h05 and arrives at Wilson Airport at 08h55.
The afternoon flight leaves Wilson Airport at 16h45 and arrives in Kisumu at 17h30. The return flight leaves Kisumu at 18h05 and arrives in Nairobi at 18h55.
“This is a significant milestone for us and the aviation industry at large,” said Patrick Oketch, Renegade Air Sales and Marketing Manager, speaking at the flight launch event at Wilson Airport. “We are proud to be at the forefront of domestic aviation innovation, offering a comfortable, reliable and efficient travel experience aboard this new-generation aircraft.”
The new route is also welcomed by the Kenya Association of Travel Agents, citing the development as a strong step forward in improving regional air connectivity, which is crucial for boosting domestic tourism, trade and the overall travel ecosystem.
