SAA cancels Mauritius flights

Due to a severe tropical storm, SAA has cancelled its Mauritius flights today.

SAA has cancelled flights to and from Mauritius on Tuesday (April 24) due to severe tropical storm, Fakir.

“We apologise for these cancellations, which were caused by circumstances beyond our control. SAA will operate a bigger aircraft, the A340-600, on the route tomorrow [Wednesday, April 25] to ensure that our customers reach their destinations,” says Tlali Tlali, Spokesperson of SAA.

The decision to cancel was taken in the interests of safety after it was established from the Mauritius Meteorology Services that the airport weather forecast would affect SAA’s operations today, adds Tlali.

SAA will continue to monitor the weather conditions in Mauritius and will advise customers accordingly.
