The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority has temporarily closed Saadani Airstrip due to maintenance. The airstrip closed on January 6 and will reopen on February 8.
According to Coastal Aviation, the destination has already been restricted from sale during the closure dates, and existing bookings are being contacted by Coastal Aviation’s reservations department to arrange different itineraries.
For existing and future bookings, Coastal Aviation is able to offer flights into Kwajoni, the closest airstrip to Saadani.
Update: The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority has advised that Saadani Airstrip will not be closed until Febraury 28.
