SANParks beefs up Table Mountain security

South African National Parks (SANParks) is strengthening security measures in Table Mountain National Park with an additional helicopter deployed to conduct aerial security operations.

This forms part of a range of new security interventions including the recent expansion of its Sea, Air, Mountain (SEAM) Special Operations Ranger Team.

According to SANParks, aerial operations have proven successful during high visitor periods like the festive season. The coordination between aerial and ground ranger teams is key to ensuring that safety and fire threats are immediately addressed.
