Val du Charron Wine & Leisure Estate in Wellington, Western Cape, has fully reopened following a six-month partial closure for upgrades.
The refurbishments include upgraded facilities, additional rooms and a refresh of its dining venues.
The estate’s four-star guesthouse has added 20 rooms to its offering, bringing the total number of rooms to 40.
The main restaurant, The Grillroom, now includes an expansive buffet area for breakfast, conferencing and special occasions, and a sundeck with a look-out point. The restaurant’s new look features plush sofas, cosy fireplaces, glass doors and a cantilevered deck. The Grillroom also introduced an updated menu highlighting traditional South African meals, ranging from A-grade beef to bobotie as well as fresh seafood and vegetarian options.
Pizza Vista, the property’s Italian pizzeria in the cellar, also has a new menu, an enclosed splash pad and play area.
The estate’s other accommodation options, Coach House and Manor House, remain unchanged.
