Wolwedans to reopen Desert Lodge

Wolwedans Collection will reopen Desert Lodge on April 20 following an extensive refurbishment, marking the start of a new phase for the property.

The reopening is part of a broader update across the portfolio with structural upgrades, interior refreshes and 2027 rates now confirmed.

Desert Lodge refurbishment

Desert Lodge, located within Namibia’s NamibRand Nature Reserve, has upgraded the main lounge, bar and dining areas.

A further design and interior update will be completed in June.

Desert Lodge and Dune Camp upgrades

Following the Desert Lodge upgrade, rates are now aligned with Dune Camp.

From June 8, new beds will allow all rooms at Desert Lodge and Dune Camp to be configured as twin or king. Wooden walkways between the main areas and rooms are in place at both camps to improve access.

Interior refresh from June

From early June 2026, Desert Lodge and Dune Camp will introduce refreshed interiors inspired by desert light, textures and natural materials. The update maintains the established Wolwedans style while introducing a new design feel to the guest experience.

The sustainability levy will also increase by 5% on 2026 rates.
