Airlink and Uganda Airlines sign interline partnership

Airlink has entered into an interline agreement with Uganda Airlines, expanding travel connectivity between East and Southern Africa.

The partnership enables passengers to travel on a single ticket from Entebbe to more than 45 destinations across Southern Africa including Cape Town, Durban, Victoria Falls, Windhoek and Gaborone. Thorough-check-in for passengers and baggage will streamline transfers between the two airlines in Johannesburg at OR Tambo International Airport.

According to Uganda Airlines, the interline will enhance network access, improve the travel experience through single-itinerary bookings and increase travel options for both airlines’ customers. Airlink passengers will gain easier connections to Uganda Airlines’ growing African network, supporting trade and tourism flows across the continent.

Airlink Chief Commercial Officer Katherine Whelan said the collaboration reinforces the airline’s commitment to strengthening African connectivity. “It opens up a vital gateway in East Africa for our customers and, in turn, provides Ugandan travellers with efficient and direct access to Southern Africa’s key economic and tourism centres. It’s a win-win for both airlines and our customers.”
