Julian Edmunds, Coastal Aviation’s Managing Director, has resigned. He will be replaced later this month by Shafiul Syed, who has a background in senior management with several African aviation companies. Edmunds said: “We feel his skills will be truly valuable as we continue to develop our business while meeting the best aviation industry practices.” The date of transition is yet to be confirmed.
Rob Prophet will also join Coastal Aviation in the position of Chief Commercial Officer.
These changes come hot on the heels of Coastal Aviation announcing its intention to discontinue certain flight routes and implement schedule and routing changes.
In a statement, Edmunds has since confirmed that there will be no further flight discontinuations.
