Craft gin school opens in Johannesburg

Gin School opens at Indaba Hotel.

Towards the end of last year, the Indaba Hotel in Fourways partnered with Inverroche, one of South Africa’s most famous craft gins – now exported, to open the Gin School at Indaba Hotel.

Under the expertise of the master Gin School host, guests can brew and distil their very own hand-crafted gin according to their own personal palate.

The experience begins with guests selecting their own unique ingredients and botanicals, which go into a specially-crafted copper still, before the distillation process gets underway.

“There isn't really anything that compares to the feeling of satisfaction you get when walking away from (or with) a successful project, knowing that the work you have done truly reflects your personality, with all its deep and quirky aspects,”  says Sales & Marketing Manager at Sandton Indaba Hotel, Sharon Hunink.

The two hour class a 500ml bottle of hand crafted gin with a personalised label as well as a gin booklet and recipe Card.

A gin inspired canape menu or a harvest table menu is also available for an additional cost.
