The Department of Tourism officially opened the Mthontsi Lodge and Conference Centre in KwaMaqoma, Eastern Cape, on July 2, adding new accommodation and conference facilities.
The lodge features 13 chalets, two lapas, a restaurant, backpacker accommodation and conference facilities. Officially opened by Deputy Minister of Tourism Makhotso Sotyu, Mthontsi was funded through the Expanded Public Works Programme and implemented through the Development Bank of Southern Africa.
