Diamond Works Institute launches new Cape experience

The Diamond Works Institute introduces The South African Select, a luxury South African excursion.

The Diamond Works Institute recently introduced The South African Select, a new experience for travellers, incorporating the Cape winelands while witnessing the art and craftsmanship of jewellery manufacturing from skilled professionals.

The new experience lets guests discover the art of diamond cutting, as well as the rich history of diamonds and gold in South Africa.

Diamond Works Cape Winelands offers two niche facilities, nestled in the heart of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, where guests will experience the institute’s ‘Sparkling Tour’, paired with a teaser wine tasting with Deetlefs Wines.

The institute also boasts a wide variety of hand-selected loose stones, gold and platinum jewellery, as well as an extensive range of Tanzanite, which is only found at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Guests will then embark on an informative wine-tasting experience at the second-oldest wine estate in South Africa, Deetlefs Winery, established in 1822 and situated in the Breede River Valley (Rawsonville), under the ownership of the lineage of the founding family.

Near the end of the tour, guests are treated to a South African gourmet burger.
