Entries are open for the Responsible Tourism Awards 2026. Winners will be announced during WTM Africa at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on April 14.
The award winners will be selected by a panel of experts and will advance to the Global Responsible Tourism Awards to compete with the rest of the world.
There are six award categories:
- Local Economic Benefit
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Nature Positive
- Championing Cultural Diversity
- Adapting to Climate Change
- Regenerative Tourism
Last year, African tourism operators Township & Village, Dlala Nje and !Khwa ttu San Culture and Education Centre won gold in the Global Responsible Tourism Awards.
Nomination forms and detailed descriptions of each category are available on the WTM Africa website. Applications must be submitted here by March 20. Entry is free of charge.
