Cresta Oasis in Harare is undergoing a refurbishment that is expected to be completed by mid-year. The hotel will remain open for business during this period.
All apartments and bedrooms, public areas and conference rooms will be given a makeover.
A new conference room will be added on the site of the previous public bar, while a new bar and entertainment centre will replace the old nightclub on the eastern side of the hotel.
The renovations commenced last year, and work already completed includes a new hotel entrance, re-paving of all the car parks, and the installation of car ports in the main carpark.
The hotel’s Country Director, Chipo Mandela, commented: “It is a major investment, and stems from our confidence in the current and future potential of Harare, of Zimbabwe, and of this region. We firmly believe that a golden age of travel and tourism into this region and this country is about to happen.”
