Shipwreck Lodge in the Skeleton Coast National Park in the Kunene region of Namibia, will open in June.

Anica Britz, PR, told Tourism Update: “There are eight twins/doubles, and two family rooms that can each accommodate two adults and two children.”

Each room has been constructed to look like the shipwrecks that line the beach. Guests can look forward to appreciating the harsh beauty of the desert and solitary landscapes from the comfortable deck of the restaurant area, and witness the survival skills of animals that live in the harsh conditions.
Activities will include day excursions to Möwe Bay seal colony, where guests will be shown the remnants of the Suiderkus and Karimona shipwrecks, the abandoned Westies diamond mine, the remains of the Ventura bomber and the beautiful natural wind shelter created by the reeds at Flamingo Pools.

Sundowner drives to the roaring dunes and a full-day Hoarusib River excursion will also be offered. Lunch on the beach will be offered when the weather permits.
Shipwreck Lodge is owned by the Sesfontein Conservancy in a joint venture with Journeys Namibia, Trip Travel and Natural Selection.
